Behind a face of pure innocence lies a soulful vocalist and songwriter by the name of Ashley Marie Lewis. A Youngstown, Ohio native, this international recording artist captivates audiences with raw talent, bringing a whole new playing field to the music scene with her unique sound, equipped with Pop and Hip-Hop vibes, to form the perfect blend for your listening pleasure.
Her experiences and exposure to live audiences include: Performing at the age of seven with Oldies singer, Bobby Vee; Dancing on stage with former Arista recording artists, LFO, at the age of fourteen; and singing the National Anthem at local hockey games, including one for charity, which benefited a player from her hometown team. Ashley has also performed The Star-Spangled Banner at football and basketball games, and boxing matches, including a performance in front of the Canadian National Team. In April of 2013, she performed the Star-Spangled Banner for the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League's inaugural season home opener in Boyds, Maryland, where they faced U.S. National Team star and international record holder (both female and male) for most goals scored, Abby Wambach, and the Western New York Flash. In October of 2008, Ashley was one of sixteen finalists who performed in the fourth annual "Youngstown Superstar" competition, held at the Youngstown Playhouse in Youngstown, Ohio. In July of 2009, Ashley had the opportunity to perform a capella with LFO at Musica in Akron, Ohio. April of 2016, Ashley opened the Tennessee International Pageant in Franklin, Tennessee with her rendition of our National Anthem, and was the featured performer for the pageant; She was also the pageant's featured performer in April of 2017.
On July 6th, 2024, Ashley performed the National Anthem for Angel City Football Club" at BMO Stadium ahead of the ACFC v. Gotham FC Olympic Send Off Match in Los Angeles, California! Many stars were in attendance on this historic night of football, including the likes of 1999 Women's World Cup Winners Mia Hamm, Tisha Venturini-Hoch, Julie Foudy, and Saskia Webber, as well as Vanessa, Natalia, Bianca, and Capri Bryant, and even Simu Liu and Lilly Singh!
Ashley also holds numerous awards on the OurStage music charts, including one-hundred and twenty-one Top 40 hits and thirty-two Top 10's in the Pop and Country genres, three #1 singles with the power ballad, "It's Your Lie," written by Buddy Owens, Jimmy Melton, and Neal Coty, and two #1 singles and Pop Finals Grand Prize Winner with "I'll Stay Gone," a heartfelt track of triumph that Ashley penned herself.
In early 2010, Ashley was found gracing the stage of the historic Ponderosa Park in Salem, Ohio, where she was the lead vocalist of the Red Garter House Band. Ashley was the last artist to sign her name on the famed backstage wall prior to the park’s closing that same year, alongside the signatures of past and present-day artists such as Charley Pride, Johnny Cash, Reba McEntire, and George Strait.
Soon after, in April of 2010, Ashley recorded her first demo with respected producer and session musician, Buddy Hyatt (Former touring member of Toto), in Nashville, Tennessee. On June 8th 2010, Ashley released her first EP, “Drive”, which quickly became a local success.
Her debut album, "So Much More", which was also recorded in Nashville, was released on August 12th, 2011. Ashley’s album is graced with the presence of Reba McEntire’s steel guitarist, Bruce Bouton; and two of the fourteen tracks on the LP were co-written by keyboardist, Eddie Kilgallon (Bandleader of Montgomery Gentry), and Wil Nance (Co-writer of Brad Paisley's #1 single, "She's Everything").
But music isn't Ashley's only talent. In September of 2014, she was cast in the highly anticipated and widely respected Nike "Together" commercial, featuring NBA phenom, LeBron James. Shortly after, in October of the same year, she was cast in her first major motion picture, "Concussion," produced by Sony and starring Hollywood legend, Will Smith. In November of 2014, she landed a spot in "Cleveland Abduction," a Lifetime movie starring "Orange Is The New Black" lead, Taryn Manning, based on the true story of the three women who were abducted, tortured, and held captive for over a decade in Cleveland, Ohio. In March of 2015, Ashley landed a small role in another major motion picture, "Love The Coopers," starring Olivia Wilde ("House, M.D.") and Jake Lacy ("The Office"). In December of 2015, Ashley filmed a few scenes for "Hit Me," the 13th episode of Season 3 of NBC's "Chicago P.D." in Chicago, Illinois. She also worked on "Fences," starring and directed by Hollywood royalty, Denzel Washington, in June of 2016, as well as "White Boy Rick," starring Matthew McConaughey, in April of 2017. In May of 2017, Ashley filmed a scene in episode two of the NBC drama, "Gone," starring Danny Pino ("Law & Order: SVU"), in the role of an EMT, which she happens to be in real-life. In continuation, she was also cast in "Them That Follow," a thriller starring Walton Goggins and Olivia Colman.
